erma elan engineering s. r. o. was founded in Prague in 1990 as a sister design office of the company of the same name in Switzerland and as part of a whole family of companies that share the same beginning of the name - erma. This word is an abbreviation of the founders of Swiss engineering companies: ER = Ertlmeyer, MA = Marbacher.

The founder of the company in what was then Czechoslovakia was their friend, a tireless engineer and a lifelong "paperman" JM Kubias.

erma elan engineering s. r. o. she has worked on many interesting and significant projects since 1991 and has been heavily involved in many other projects in Europe and beyond. From the original several employees who transferred to the company from the Research Institute of Paper and Pulp (IRAPA), over time, a broader stable and experienced team was formed, which was able to solve demanding engineering assignments.

This year erma elan engineering s. r. o. has completed the largest project to date: Detail engineering new Tissue machines in Abu Dhabi (UAE) for Over Meccanica. This was followed by other large projects (eg Kartogroup Leuna, HIGI, Packages Ltd., BILT India), which were mostly carried out in cooperation with the parent company erma engineering ag. After the millennium, the cooperation with Bellmer GmbH also culminated, for which, in addition to several smaller projects, the company carried out a number of construction works, especially for steel structures under reconstructed paper machine drives.

He joins the company as the majority owner of VEGA-HSH. In the following years there is a further development of the company, when erma elan engineering s. r. o. participates, inter alia, in several major investment projects such as the construction of new paper machines in Russia (Mayak PM5 and PM6) or v Belarus (Sklov). The company's portfolio also included several second hand machines installed in the new location (SCBK Suchoňsk, Mjuniks, Beacon PM2 etc.) At that time, projects for Papcel as prevailed, which included many new installations and reconstructions, you can say all over the world.

Currently, erma elan engineering s. r. o. focuses mainly on the domestic market, where it began to offer the original services such as proposals for energy savings of plants, modifications of steam condensate systems, 3D scanning of the current state, etc. However, it is still true that the largest segment of the company are standard design tasks: feasibility study, documentation for building permission, Basic & Detail engineering and subsequently construction work.
